Mug printing in Kenya for personal gifts and branded business orders
Make an everyday item feel personal
A mug can carry a favourite photograph into someone’s morning, welcome a new employee, thank a client or keep an event identity visible long after the day ends. The best printed mugs feel intentional because the product, design and recipient were considered together.
Shammah Media provides mug printing in Kenya for personal gifts, celebrations, staff recognition, conferences, launches, campaigns and memorials. We can prepare one shared design for the full order, several versions for different teams or individually personalised mugs with names, titles or messages.
Your quotation will identify the current available mug, quantity, artwork work, print placement, personalisation, packaging and delivery. Send us your idea, quantity and required date to receive a tailored recommendation.

Custom mugs for people, events and organisations

Personalised photo mugs
Turn a family portrait, wedding picture, graduation image, travel photograph or favourite memory into a useful personal gift. We assess the original image, plan the crop for the print area and keep important faces and text away from restricted edges.

Branded company mugs
Create mugs for office use, employee onboarding, client gifts, launches and business campaigns. Send the organisation’s current logo and brand guidelines so the design uses the right identity rather than a small image copied from a website.

Event and conference mugs
Add the event name, theme, date, sponsor marks or attendee details to a useful keepsake. We can coordinate the mug artwork with banner printing and other event materials when every item has its own approved production scope.

Wedding, birthday and anniversary mugs
Use names, dates, monograms, photographs or a short message for guest gifts and personal celebrations. One organiser should approve the exact spelling, date format and final quantity.

Named staff and recognition gifts
Give each recipient a mug with an individual name, role or thank-you message. A controlled spreadsheet keeps every version matched to the right person and packaging label.

Promotional mugs
Support a campaign, product launch or customer giveaway with one clear branded design. Confirm the audience, distribution date and message lifespan before printing time-sensitive offers or contacts.

Memorial mugs
Create an approved tribute using a portrait, name, dates and short message. Personal family content is handled respectfully and every detail is treated as proof-critical. Memorial mugs are separate from eulogy printing .
Choose the mug before finalising the design
Mugs vary in shape, colour, handle position and printable area. Artwork prepared for an unknown product can end up too close to the handle, unexpectedly cropped or too small on the visible face. We therefore confirm an available mug and its design area before final placement is approved.
Tell us how you want the recipient to see the design. You may prefer a logo in the main outward-facing position, a photograph on one side and a message on the other, or a wider composition around the mug. There is no universal correct side, so the orientation shown on your proof becomes part of the order.
The mug colour also affects the design. Fine pale details may disappear against a light product, while coloured mugs may require a different visual or production approach. We assess the artwork against the actual quoted item rather than treating every mug like a blank white rectangle.
Product stock can change. If a future reorder must match an earlier batch, ask us to confirm current availability instead of assuming the same mug will remain available indefinitely.

Artwork designed for a curved surface
A design that looks balanced as a flat rectangle will be viewed around a curved object. A wide composition may not be visible all at once, so the most important logo, face or message needs a clear main position. Small text should remain legible without forcing the recipient to rotate the mug to understand the design.
For logos, send the original vector file where available. For photographs, send the original or highest-quality edited image rather than a screenshot or a copy compressed by a messaging app. A small image may look clear on a phone while losing detail when printed.
We preserve the natural proportions of logos and portraits. If the source does not fit the available area, we can use a considered crop, background or layout rather than stretching it. Exact production dimensions and safe areas follow the confirmed mug template.
Screens create colour with light, while the physical print is affected by the artwork, mug surface and production process. A digital proof is most useful for confirming content, orientation, scale and placement; it cannot guarantee an exact match to every phone or laptop display.
From your idea to finished mugs
Tell us the purpose, quantity, required date, destination and whether every mug will be the same or personalised. Include your preferred product appearance and packaging needs.
We quote an available mug together with the design area, colour, quantity and any applicable order conditions. Artwork is then planned for that confirmed product.
Send final logos, photographs and wording or request design support. We arrange the agreed elements for the mug and create the required shared or variable versions.
For named mugs, one approved spreadsheet controls every item. Exceptions, missing fields, duplicate names and unusually long entries are resolved before proof approval.
One authorised person checks the mug reference, artwork, orientation, names, dates, logo version, total quantity and quantities for each version. Corrections are returned as one consolidated list.
After approval and booking, the mugs move into production. We compare the completed order with the approved version list and check visible placement, names, quantities, mug condition and packaging.
Mugs are grouped or labelled according to the packaging and distribution plan included in the quotation, then prepared for collection or the agreed delivery.
Personalised names without avoidable errors
Individual personalisation changes one order into many unique items. Use one spreadsheet with a separate row for every physical mug and stable columns such as item reference, name, title, short message, design version and package label.
The owner of the list should check spelling, punctuation, initials, capitalisation, honourifics and intentional duplicates. Copying data faithfully cannot correct an error in the source. Missing titles should not be guessed, and a long name may need a different size or line break.
Do not send corrections across several chat messages and expect them to become one reliable master list. Return a revised spreadsheet with a clear version name and identify the changed rows. Once the final proof is approved, a correction may affect the price or deadline—or may no longer be possible if production has begun.
If the mugs will be handed out at an event or across departments, include the desired label or grouping in the same schedule. This allows production, checking and distribution to use one source of truth.
Branded mugs for employees, clients and campaigns
A company mug can support the workplace, a welcome pack, client appreciation or a promotional campaign. Decide what the recipient should notice first: the company identity, campaign message, personal name or a combination.
Send current vector logos, approved colours and brand rules. If several departments, branches or sponsor levels require different artwork, provide the exact quantity for each version. A correct design with an incorrect version count still produces the wrong order.
For brand-sensitive bulk work, ask about the available proof or sample route. A physical sample may be useful, but its availability, cost and effect on the schedule must appear in the quotation. It should not be assumed from the digital mock-up.
Time-sensitive campaign text requires final business approval. Check dates, prices, phone numbers, web addresses, QR destinations and offer terms before printing. A mug may remain in use longer than the campaign, so avoid information that will quickly become misleading unless that is intentional.
Photo mugs that keep the important details visible
Choose a photograph with clear focus, suitable light and enough space around the subject. A tightly cropped face may become uncomfortable when adapted to the mug’s printable area, while a large group may make every person too small to recognise.
Send the original image and tell us which people or details must remain visible. We can recommend a crop, add a short name or date, or combine a photograph with a simple message. Avoid crowding the design with several small images unless a collage is genuinely the desired result.
You must own the photograph or have permission to reproduce it. A picture found online is not automatically available for printing, and a photograph of a private person should be used with appropriate authority.
For a newly created portrait, event photograph or professional brand image, start with Shammah Media photography services before the mug design is finalised.
Quantity, packaging and distribution
Confirm the recipient count and decide whether late additions, replacements or samples justify a small contingency quantity. Additional named mugs still need complete data and approval; they cannot be added safely without a matching row in the version list.
Packaging may include bulk cartons, individual boxes, labels, grouping or another agreed presentation. Gift wrapping, notes and individual fulfilment are not automatic parts of printing and must appear in the quotation.
For several destinations, provide the quantity, recipient and delivery contact for every site. Work backwards from the event or distribution date, leaving time for product confirmation, artwork, recipient-list corrections, proof approval, production, checking and transport.

What affects the price of mug printing?
Your quotation depends on the available mug, quantity, artwork preparation, number of designs, individual personalisation, proof or sample requirements, packaging, sorting and delivery. One shared logo across a bulk order requires less version control than a named mug for every recipient.
Send the complete requirement for a current price rather than relying on a generic per-mug figure that excludes design, personalisation or packaging. Minimum order conditions may also vary with the product and current stock.
Shammah Media’s planning terms use a 14-day quotation validity period, a 50% booking deposit and one consolidated review round. Travel outside Nairobi is quoted separately, and digital working files are normally retained for 90 days. Your signed quotation takes priority wherever different terms are agreed.

FAQs
Send vector logos where available, original high-quality photographs and final approved text. We will confirm the file and template requirements for the quoted mug.
Yes, subject to current capacity and lead time. Provide one checked spreadsheet with a row for every mug and approve the complete version schedule.
Possibly. Send the original phone image rather than a screenshot or messaging-app copy so focus, quality and crop can be assessed for the confirmed print area.
This depends on the selected mug and print area. Tell us the preferred orientation and approve the exact placement shown on the product-specific proof.
Minimum quantities may vary with the product, stock and personalisation. Request a quotation for the exact number you need.
Ask whether a physical sample or pre-production unit is available, chargeable and compatible with your deadline. The quotation will distinguish it from the digital proof.
Do not assume this for every product. Care and appliance suitability depend on the confirmed mug, coating and print process. Follow the written guidance supplied with the order.
Timing depends on stock, quantity, artwork readiness, personalisation, approval and delivery. Send the real event date so we can confirm the current production schedule before booking.
Delivery elsewhere in Kenya can be quoted according to quantity, packaging, destination and deadline. The written quotation will confirm coverage, handling and transit responsibility.
Yes. Share the content, brand assets and visual references. The quotation will state the design work and included review stage.
Possibly, subject to retained artwork, mug availability and current minimum quantities. A later batch is re-quoted and re-approved because identical stock cannot be assumed indefinitely.
