Large format printing in Kenya for graphics that need to stand out
Make a bigger impression with the right printed display
When your message needs to be seen across a room, along a visitor route or throughout a commercial space, an ordinary document print will not do. Shammah Media provides large-format printing in Kenya for businesses, event organisers, institutions, agencies, property teams and individuals who need professional graphics at scale.
We produce large printed displays around the real space where they will be used. That means considering the dimensions, audience, viewing distance, artwork, surface, finishing, transport and installation—not simply enlarging an image until it fills a sheet.
Send us the size, location and purpose of your display for a tailored recommendation and written quotation.

Large-format products for business and events

Posters
Promote an event, campaign, product, exhibition or in-store offer with a poster designed for the intended viewing distance. Tell us where it will be displayed, how long it needs to remain in place, the required quantity and whether it will be framed, mounted or fixed directly to a surface.

Vinyl banners
Vinyl banners can create a flexible display for a wall, fence, stage, frame or temporary event structure. We will quote the agreed size, printed material and finishing, including hems, eyelets or another applicable fixing preparation where required.

Wall and window graphics
Transform a plain surface into branded, promotional or informational space. Wall and window work begins with accurate measurements and an assessment of the surface, access and expected use period. For coordinated reception, glass, wall and workplace graphics, explore office branding .

Event backdrops
Give speakers, guests, sponsors and products a clear branded setting. We plan backdrops around the stage or activation area, expected group size, camera framing and available support system. The quotation will state whether it includes only the printed graphic or also a frame, delivery, setup or collection.

Directional and information displays
Help visitors find entrances, registration points, rooms, departments and facilities. These graphics prioritise legibility, logical placement and consistent visual cues so people can understand them while moving. For portable roll-up, X and tear-drop display systems, visit our banner printing service .

Exhibition and display graphics
Create panels and visual elements for an exhibition stand, conference, launch or sales environment. We match each print to the display system, dimensions, mounting method, transport plan and required reuse.

Start with the result you need
You do not need to arrive with a finished technical specification. Tell us what the display should achieve, where people will see it and when you need it. We will help translate that into a practical production brief.
Useful information includes:
If you are replacing an existing print, photograph the full installation and any frames, fixing points, edges and labels. Measurements should use one clearly stated unit throughout.
- the product or application you have in mind;
- exact dimensions, or measurements and photographs of the available space;
- the number of copies or versions required;
- whether the location is indoors, sheltered or outdoors;
- how far away the audience will be;
- whether the display is temporary, recurring or longer term;
- the wall, window, frame, stand or other support involved;
- whether artwork is ready or design support is needed;
- the delivery or installation address and deadline.
A complete large-format printing process
We begin with your audience, message, location, dimensions and schedule. For an installation, we may request site photographs, drawings or an assessment before confirming the production scope.
Your written quotation will describe the size, quantity, material, artwork work, finishing, packaging and agreed delivery or installation. Any frame, support system, surface preparation, removal or collection will be named rather than assumed.
You can supply suitable finished artwork or ask Shammah Media to design or adapt it. We check the layout for the selected dimensions, including images, text, logos, margins, bleed, panels, joins and finishing areas.
You will approve the applicable proof before production. Check all wording, dates, contacts, offers, sponsor logos, dimensions and versions. One authorised contact should return a consolidated approval.
We produce the approved graphics and complete the finishing named in the quotation. Multi-version orders are labelled and matched to the agreed quantities and destinations.
We pack the work for the agreed transport method and complete any delivery or installation included in the scope. Site access, receiving contacts, working times and restrictions must be confirmed beforehand.
Artwork that remains clear when enlarged
An image can look sharp on a phone and still become soft or pixelated when enlarged. The useful question is not simply whether a file is “high resolution,” but whether its actual pixel dimensions, crop and quality suit the final size and expected viewing distance.
Send original photographs whenever possible. Avoid screenshots, images copied from websites or files repeatedly compressed through messaging applications. Vector logos are especially valuable because they can be resized cleanly. Editable artwork, packaged fonts and linked images also give us more flexibility when the layout needs adjustment.
If an important image is not suitable at the proposed size, we will discuss practical options such as changing the crop, reducing the image area, using a different asset or redesigning the composition. Artificial enlargement cannot recreate genuine detail that was never captured.
Large graphics often need fewer words, larger type and stronger contrast than brochures or online posts. We design for the distance at which your audience will actually encounter the display.
Accurate size and site measurements
A large print must fit more than the width and height of a blank wall. Frames, doors, sockets, windows, furniture, ceiling levels, stage positions, camera angles and visitor movement can all affect the usable area.
For wall and window graphics, the condition of the surface matters too. Texture, dust, moisture, coatings, fresh paint, damage, old adhesive and joints can influence installation. Tell us about recent painting or repairs, and obtain any landlord, venue or building approvals before production.
Measurements supplied by you or another contractor remain their responsibility unless Shammah Media is specifically booked to verify the site. For critical fitting work, ask us whether a site assessment should be included. The scope will also state who removes old graphics, prepares the surface, moves obstructions and restores the area after removal.
Materials and finishing for the intended environment
The right printed material depends on where the graphic will be used, how it will be handled, the desired appearance and how long it is expected to remain in place. Indoor posters, frequently transported displays, outdoor banners and adhesive window graphics do not have the same requirements.
Finishing turns the print into a usable product. Depending on the confirmed application, this may include trimming, eyelets, hems, pockets, lamination, mounting, panel joins or edge treatment. Your quotation will identify the finishing included so the person installing the piece knows what to expect.
Outdoor suitability involves the full installation: material, finishing, fixing, support, exposure and current conditions. Printed material alone does not make a display safe in every wind or weather condition. We will recommend from current available options after understanding the setting, without promising an unsupported lifespan.
Backdrops designed for people and cameras
An event backdrop is part of the guest experience and the photographs or video produced at the venue. Important branding placed too low may disappear behind people, chairs or a platform. Small sponsor logos may become unreadable in wide group photographs even when they look fine on a laptop.
Tell us whether the backdrop will sit behind a speaker, panel, product, interview position or portrait area. Include the expected group size, stage height, camera distance and any furniture placed in front. If logos repeat across the design, provide the approved order and hierarchy.
The physical support is equally important. Confirm the available frame, installation window, venue rules, access and who will dismantle or collect the display. Delivery to a venue does not automatically include assembly, structure or removal unless those services appear in the quotation.
Large graphics for campaigns with several versions
National campaigns, branches, events and property developments may need related graphics with different locations, languages, dates, offers or sponsor combinations. Send a version list showing the file name, finished size, quantity and destination for every variation.
Each variable version should be proofed. Approving one master layout does not confirm that every phone number, price, date or location is correct. We can label the finished packages to match an approved distribution list, helping the right graphics reach the right site.
Very large graphics may need to be produced in planned panels. Where applicable, the quotation and artwork preparation will consider panel direction, joins and installation order. We avoid placing faces, small text or critical logos directly across a seam where possible.
Colour and proof expectations
Screens produce colour with light, while printed colour is affected by the material, ink, lighting and production process. Send your current brand references and identify any colour-critical elements. Exact matching to a phone or laptop screen should not be assumed.
A digital proof is valuable for confirming layout, spelling, versions and approximate appearance, but it cannot reproduce final scale, surface texture or venue lighting. The proof or sample options available for your selected product will be explained before approval where they are relevant.
Test QR codes using the final destination and make sure that page will remain active for the life of the campaign. Small text, fine lines and weak contrast should also be checked at a representative scale.
Delivery and installation without last-minute surprises
Large prints can be difficult to move through narrow doors, staircases, lifts and busy venues. Mounted pieces may require flat transport, while flexible graphics may be rolled and protected. Send information about access routes, parking, loading, security clearance and on-site storage.
For installation, nominate an authorised contact who can provide access and approve the agreed placement. Tell us about height, restricted working times, nearby electrical points, fragile finishes or other site conditions that affect the work. Any specialist access equipment or services must be agreed in the quotation.
After installation, review the alignment, joins, edges and placement with the site contact. If a hidden surface problem or access restriction prevents the agreed result, it should be recorded and addressed rather than concealed.
What affects the price of large-format printing?
The final cost depends on the finished dimensions, quantity, material, number of versions, artwork preparation, panels, finishing, mounting, packaging, delivery and installation. A price based only on square metres does not describe the complete product.
For example, a set of ready-to-hang posters is different from a camera-ready event backdrop with a support system. A wall graphic that needs site verification and installation is different from a loose vinyl banner collected from our location.
Send your complete requirement for a current written quotation. Shammah Media’s current planning terms use a 14-day quotation validity period, a 50% booking deposit and one consolidated review round. Travel outside Nairobi is quoted separately, and digital working files are normally retained for 90 days. Your signed quotation takes priority wherever different terms are agreed.

FAQs
Send editable artwork or a suitable print-ready file, vector logos and original high-quality images where available. We will advise on the preferred production file after the product and dimensions are confirmed.
Possibly. Suitability depends on the original pixel dimensions, focus, compression, crop, finished size and viewing distance. Send the original file for assessment rather than a screenshot or messaging-app copy.
Only if it appears in your written quotation. Site measurement, surface preparation, installation, access equipment, dismantling and removal are separate responsibilities that must be clearly agreed.
Yes, subject to the available materials and a clear understanding of the site. Suitability depends on the complete application, including finishing, fixing, support and exposure; no graphic should be treated as safe in all weather conditions.
That depends on the final dimensions, material and current production capability. If panels are required, they will be considered in the artwork and finishing plan.
Delivery elsewhere in Kenya can be quoted based on the dimensions, packaging, handling, destination and schedule. Travel and delivery outside Nairobi are shown separately.
Timing depends on size, quantity, material availability, artwork readiness, proof approval, finishing, installation and delivery. Send the required date with your enquiry so we can confirm the current schedule before booking.
