TV Commercials That Make Your Brand Memorable
Make every second earn your audience's attention
A television commercial has only a few moments to become relevant, communicate a benefit and give viewers a reason to remember your brand. Those seconds work harder when the idea begins with a clear audience and offer—not simply an impressive camera shot.
Shammah Media produces TV commercials and advertising videos for businesses, organisations, agencies and campaigns in Nairobi and across Kenya. We help shape your brief into a practical concept, develop the script and visual direction, organise the production and deliver the approved versions required for broadcast and digital use.
Whether you are launching a product, promoting a service, announcing an offer or building brand awareness, your commercial is planned around the action you want viewers to take. Product claims, mandatory wording, campaign dates and media requirements are confirmed before filming so the creative remains persuasive and usable.

TV commercial production services

Creative concept development
Turn your marketing objective into one strong, understandable idea. We consider the audience, offer, duration, budget and intended channels so the concept can be produced effectively rather than remaining an unrealistic treatment.

Scriptwriting and storyboarding
Plan the spoken words, performances, visuals, product moments, on-screen text and call to action. A storyboard or shot plan gives brand and campaign approvers a clear view of what will be filmed.

Casting and performance direction
Select actors, presenters, employees, customers or voice artists suited to the role and audience. Talent usage—including channels, territory, period, versions and any exclusivity—is defined before booking.

Location and set production
Film in a real location or create a controlled setting around the story. We plan permissions, access, props, wardrobe, product, art direction, sound and the practical requirements of the shoot.

Commercial post-production
Shape the final advert through editing, colour finishing, sound, music, voice-over, titles, pack shots, graphics or animation as agreed. Each review version and final deliverable follows the approved campaign information.

Broadcast and digital versions
Deliver the specified durations, languages and technical formats for the intended destinations. Social-media versions can be planned alongside the television master rather than treated as an afterthought.
Begin with a commercial brief that keeps the message focused
The strongest brief does not try to say everything about your company. It identifies the people you want to reach, the one response you want from them and the most persuasive reason to act.
For a product launch, the priority may be recognition and one clear benefit. A limited offer needs accurate dates, price and conditions. A brand campaign may focus on a distinctive emotion or point of view. A public-information advert needs clarity, accessibility and an unmistakable next step.
Share the media plan early. A concept designed for a 30-second television slot will not automatically work as a six-second digital bumper or a vertical social video. When we know the required versions from the beginning, the script, framing and product shots can support the whole campaign.

What to include in your TV commercial brief
If you have a media-agency specification, broadcaster instructions or an existing creative treatment, include it with the enquiry. If not, send the business objective and we will identify what needs to be developed.
- Product, service, brand or campaign
- Primary audience and geographic market
- Marketing objective and desired viewer action
- Main offer, benefit or message
- Evidence for product and performance claims
- Price, dates, conditions and mandatory wording
- Intended broadcasters and digital platforms
- Main duration and required cut-downs
- Language, caption and accessibility needs
- Brand assets and visual guidelines
- Casting, product, props and location preferences
- Campaign launch date and delivery deadline
- Available budget range
- Brand, product, legal and final approvers
From campaign idea to finished commercial
We clarify who the commercial is for, what they should understand, the action they should take and the media in which the advert will appear. Client claims and mandatory conditions are identified before creative development.
The approved direction becomes a timed script and visual treatment. Scenes, dialogue, voice-over, product appearance, graphics, disclaimers and calls to action are planned within the actual duration.
We organise casting, locations, props, wardrobe, product, permissions, schedule and crew requirements. Your team approves key creative choices before costs are committed and filming begins.
The production captures the performances, product views, scenes and alternatives needed for the final version matrix. One authorised client representative handles brand and product decisions on the shoot.
The commercial is assembled with the agreed sound, graphics, music, voice-over and finishing. Brand, campaign and compliance reviewers provide one consolidated set of time-coded comments at each included review stage.
The final files are checked against the approved duration, wording, version list and available technical specifications. Broadcaster submission, trafficking and airtime placement are separate responsibilities unless expressly included.
Build the story around the right duration
A 15-second, 30-second and 60-second commercial cannot carry the same amount of information. Each duration needs its own rhythm, number of ideas and call to action. Simply cutting the beginning or ending from a longer advert often produces a rushed or confusing result.
Choose the primary duration first. We can then determine whether shorter versions should be adapted from the master or scripted as distinct cut-downs. Filming clean product moments, openings and calls to action gives the edit enough flexibility without changing the central campaign idea.
Mandatory wording also needs real screen time. If a price, qualification or expiry date is important to the offer, viewers should have a fair opportunity to read it. The script and design should make space for conditions rather than forcing them into an unreadable final frame.
Present your offer accurately
Customers should be able to trust what they see and hear. Claims about price, availability, performance, health, finance, comparisons, awards, popularity or results need appropriate evidence and approval from your organisation.
Supply the correct product, packaging, trademarks, price, offer dates and approved visual references. If the commercial uses a prototype or temporary packaging, agree how it may be represented. Testimonials and demonstrations should not imply results your evidence cannot support.
Your appointed legal, compliance, product and brand reviewers remain responsible for approving the offer and advertising claims. Products in regulated or sensitive categories may require qualified specialist advice. Shammah Media produces the commercial to the approved brief but does not independently certify the legality of a client’s claims.
Choose cast and voices that fit the campaign
People make advertising relatable. Cast selection follows the character, performance, language and audience required by the story. We can scope actors, presenters, employees, customers and voice-over artists, with auditions or casting options where appropriate.
Talent fees depend on more than the filming day. Agreements may need to cover television, websites, social media, still-image extracts, campaign period, territory, language versions, exclusivity and renewal. An employee or customer also needs clear information and authority before appearing in an advert.
Children and vulnerable contributors require suitable safeguarding and legal arrangements. Share these needs at the briefing stage so casting, working time, supervision and usage can be planned responsibly.
Create a believable visual world
The location, product styling, wardrobe, props, makeup and background details all affect how viewers understand the brand. A premium service may need a controlled, refined setting; an everyday consumer product may work best in a familiar, natural environment. The visual treatment should reinforce the offer rather than distract from it.
Real locations need permission, access, sound control, power, safety and enough time for setup. Public spaces may introduce unwanted people, logos and noise. A purpose-built or dressed location can offer more control, but its design and materials must be included in the budget.
Continuity matters when scenes are filmed out of order or adapted into several versions. Product position, wardrobe and actions should match so the final advert feels seamless.
Use music, voice-over and visual assets with the right rights
Music can define the energy of a commercial, but a song available online is not automatically licensed for advertising. The agreed track must allow the intended channels, territory, duration and campaign period. Voice-over artists and actors also require appropriate usage terms.
Stock footage, photographs, fonts, sound effects, trademarks and third-party graphics need compatible licences. We record the approved source and limitations so the campaign team knows what may need renewal if the advert is extended or released in another market.
If you already have music or footage, supply the licence information at the start. If rights cannot be confirmed, the asset may need to be replaced before final delivery.
Plan television and social advertising together
Television gives your campaign broad visual recognition, while digital platforms may need a faster opening, vertical framing, captions and a different call to action. A good version plan preserves one campaign idea while adapting the experience to each screen.
Do not rely on cropping a wide television master into a vertical frame if the product, actor or text will disappear. Some adaptations need their own shot or performance. Likewise, a casual social edit may not meet broadcaster quality, duration or compliance requirements.

TV commercial production pricing in Kenya
Your quotation reflects the concept and production required, not only the advert’s final length. Cost drivers include creative development, script, storyboard, cast and usage, locations, set design, props, wardrobe, filming days, crew, product shots, animation, music, voice-over, language versions and technical delivery.
A simple presenter-led commercial in one controlled location is different from a story with several actors, multiple scenes and custom art direction. Send the same duration, cast, rights and version requirements when comparing proposals.
Our current planning terms use a 14-day quotation validity period, a 50% booking deposit and one consolidated review round. Travel outside Nairobi is quoted separately, and digital working files are normally retained for 90 days. Your signed quotation takes priority wherever different terms are agreed.
Shammah Media does not sell or guarantee airtime, reach, sales, conversion or return on investment unless a separate qualified service is explicitly contracted. Performance also depends on the offer, media placement, frequency, targeting and customer experience.
